Description

NKE - WIND MONITOR INTERFACE - ROBUSTNESS & WIND DENOISING

The purpose of this Wind Monitor interface is to denoise the apparent wind, so that the measurement is not affected by any boat acceleration. This reduces your boat's fuel consumption and improves its performance.

The Apparent Wind Monitor integrates a 3D sensor and publishes a denoised wind on the bus.

APPARENT WIND MONITOR INTERFACE

The Wind Monitor is a robust interface that isolates your boat's mast line from the rest of your installation.

It provides the following functions

  • isolation of the main system from the mast system in the event of a short-circuit or overvoltage
  • manual or automaticswitchoverto a second or third anemovanesensor
  • switch to compass mode if the system has only one wind vane sensor on board, without losing pilot control
  • wind denoising: reduces your pilot's power consumption by 50%, optimizing performance. Piloting with a real active wind denoised, you'll get greater pilot precision with reduced rudder inputs.

Warning:

The "wind denoising" function is only available when using a reactive wind sensor.

The HR anemovane sensor from NKE features a redesigned reel and blade. The reel is also lighter.

The sensor is equipped with a high-resolution digital decoder, providing sensitivity close to a tenth of a degree. Its wind denoising algorithm has been developed for the Processor HR.
