CRISTEC - DC/DC Converter/Charger - DCPOWER+ 12V/36V - 15A
The CRISTEC DCPOWER+ 12V/36V - 15A is a DC/DC converter-charger designed to power or recharge a 36 V battery bank from a 12 V DC power source. It can function as a simple converter, a smart battery charger, a booster, or a stabilized power supply, depending on the system configuration.
It is particularly well-suited for boats with a 12 V onboard electrical system where equipment or a battery bank operates at 36 V. It also allows for the recharging of LiFePO4 batteries from a lead-acid battery connected to an alternator.
Smart and customizable charging.
The DCPOWER+ offers a charge curve that can be configured via the settings button, the Bluetooth interface, or the CAN bus-. It is compatible with various types of batteries, including:
- Sealed lead-acid.
- Gel.
- AGM.
- --calcium lead-acid.
- LiFePO4.
- Other technologies available upon specific request.
The charging profile can operate in up to 5 stages:
- Boost: rapid battery charging.
- Absorption: continued charging up to 100%.
- Floating: charge maintenance.
- Refresh: automatic phase designed to limit sulfation and revitalize the batteries.
- Reboost: a new Boost phase if the battery’s condition or DC loads require it.
Silent operation.
Cooling is provided by natural convection, without a fan, allowing for completely silent operation. The noise level specified by CRISTEC is 0 dB. This design makes it possible to install the unit near living areas on board.
Bluetooth and remote control.
The charger features Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) as well as CAN-Bus communication. The charging curve can thus be configured locally or remotely.
Designed for marine installations.
The DCPOWER+ operates at its rated load up to +60 °C. At-temperatures above +65 °C, the current is limited to protect the device. The circuit board is also treated with a water-repellent varnish suitable for marine environments.
The models are protected against:
- Polarity reversal.
- Short-circuits.
- Abnormal overheating.
They are also ISO 8846 / SAE J1171 certified for protection against ignition of flammable gases, which allows them to be installed in the engine room.
