OCEAN SAFETY - XF Junior 150 N lifejacket red with harness
The XF Junior 150N lifejacket offers effective buoyancy of 115 Newtons, approved to the 150N standard. This lifejacket is only available in a self-inflating version, i.e.-to-which inflates directly on contact with water. You can also inflate it manually via a handle in case of emergency.
Lightweight and compact, the XF Junior 150 N lifejacket is compatible with AIS devices, providing precise location of your child in the event of an emergency. It also features an improved flotation angle and height-adjustment tunnels via the back strap. It also features a stainless steel "D" ring for attaching a safety lanyard.

WHICH RELEASE SYSTEM?The automatic release (or cellulose pellet release) uses a cartridge with a soluble element that is resistant to humidity and sea spray. As a result, the vest will only activate after immersion in water. On contact with water, the pellet disintegrates (salt or cellulose). It releases a powerful spring which activates a firing pin on the carbon dioxide cylinder. The kit has an expiration date-after which it must be replaced. However, there is a risk of unintentional triggering (by a large wave, for example). Hammar (hydrostatic) release: This system operates under the effect of water pressure. As soon as the pressure increases (from 10 cm underwater), the membrane lets the water through and the vest inflates automatically. The advantage of the Hammar system is that it does not risk being triggered by splashing water (high pressure is required). |
IMPORTANCE OF THE HARNESSIn the event of a fall overboard, it's best to remain attached to the boat. This is the role of the harness. The vest's retaining straps have a ring at navel level for attaching a harness lanyard. This strap, fitted with a snap hook at the end , serves as a link to the boat. |
