The Silva 125FTC Pacific is a horizontal-mount marine compass designed for large sailboats and motor yachts. Its 125-mm diameter compass rose provides a direct bearing reading. The gimbal suspension follows the boat’s movements, while the 12-V red illumination and adjustable cover improve readability at night.


	A COMPASS ROSE FOR QUICK COURSE READING The 125FTC Pacific Silva s features a 125-mm flat chart graduated in 5° increments. Its curved main line of sight helps minimize parallax errors. Two 45° auxiliary lines and two white 90° markers aid in reading the compass when viewed from different positions on board. Compass diameter: 125 mm Graduated in 5° increments Accuracy: ±- 0.5° Central and lateral sight lines A mark extending from the center of the compass also helps with taking bearings when the boat deviates from its course. The gimbal suspension accommodates the ship’s movements up to 45° of heel.

FLUSH-MOUNT COMPASS The 125FTC is designed for horizontal flush mounting on a stable surface. The Silva specifies a cutout with a diameter of 126 mm and a minimum clear depth of 69 mm. The compass must be aligned with the boat’s longitudinal axis and installed away from any elements that could interfere with the magnetic field. Horizontal Flush Mounting Required cutout: 126 mm Minimum clearance depth: 69 mm Mounting angle: -10° to +10° The supplied magnetic compensator corrects deviations caused by metal masses or other sources of interference. Silva recommends compensation when the deviation exceeds 5°, as well as an annual compass check and a check after adding new equipment on board.
