Code Rousseau Coastal Option is an effective way of acquiring all the theoretical knowledge you need to prepare for the coastal boating license exam, as well as the Certificat de Radiotéléphoniste Restreint (CRR). To help you prepare for the exam, Comptoir Nautique recommends that you also take the coastal option test.
The coastal boating license authorizes day and night sailing within 6 miles of a shelter, with no limits on power or tonnage. The CRR entitles yachtsmen sailing abroad to use fixed or portable VHF marine radio equipment.
This 232-page book includes 8 chapters on buoyage, lights and day markers, helm and route rules, weather signals and services, navigation, safety, the right to use VHF and one dedicated to the CRR.
