The Mamba WRG12 reducer is the centerpiece of a Lewmar Mamba bar transmission, for units that demand torque and control. It relies on precision spur gears, designed to work cleanly over time.
With a marine-grade aluminum housing, stainless steel or bronze-nickel-aluminum alloy axles and ball and needle bearings, everything is designed to last, without making life difficult for you. The gearbox is lubricated for life and designed to stay in tune, season after season.

Easy integration into the Mamba systemThe WRG12 fits logically into your boat near the rudder, or can be integrated into existing kinematics. It can be mounted anywhere from 20 cm to 2 m from the rudder, depending on cockpit layout.
The WRG series can be fitted with an integrated gearbox, which can be mounted on either side and rotated to the desired angle. On WRG12 and above, a linkage bar transmits the force directly under the cockpit floor, for consistent, well-guided steering. |
