This is the big news from CHIRP+ 4: an onboard AI developed by fishermen, analyzes sonar data in real time directly on your smartphone.

During the scan, it automatically identifies fish echoes among false signals: submerged branches, air bubbles and other parasites, then distinct icon mark on the screen.

These markings are then recorded with their GPS position and remain visible on your personal 2D and 3D bathymetric maps, even after your session. This means you can find geolocated fish zones on your background map, so you can fine-tune your positions from one outing to the next.

2D and 3D multi-layer bathymetric maps

Portable sounder CHIRP+ 4 goes far beyond simple depth mapping. Thanks to its high-precision sonar data, it generates personal maps with three overlapping layers of information :

• Depth : mark the contours under-breaks and plateaus. Ideal for understanding the topography of a spot.
• Bottom hardness distinguish between areas of hard gravel and soft, muddy bottoms. This information is crucial for targeting the right positions.
• Aquatic vegetation the most important thing to remember: precisely map the meadows, their edges and the clear corridors between plant zones.

These three layers are features exclusive to CHIRP+ 4, no other model Deeper offers them. They are generated from your own scans and can be viewed free of charge in the Fish application Deeper (iOS, Android and web).

Technology CHIRP triple beam: unrivalled precision

Unlike conventional sonar, which transmits a single frequency, the CHIRP (Compressed High Intensity Radiated Pulse) sends a continuous flow of variable frequencies for sharper, more detailed images. The CHIRP+ 4 offers a choice of three beams depending on the situation:

• Wide-beam 47° at 100 kHz ideal for covering a large area and quickly spotting fish activity.
• Intermediate beam 20° at 240 kHz the perfect balance between coverage and precision. Reveals background hardness and vegetation.
• Narrow beam 7° at 675 kHz : maximum sensitivity to scan the seabed in the finest detail, with 1 cm target separation.

In shallow water (up to 5 m), resolution is 4 times greater at Deeper PRO+ 2. The minimum detection depth is just 15 cm, for use in rivers or at the edge of seagrass beds. The sounder operates in sub-zero temperatures down to -20°C, making it ideal for ice fishing.

A versatile sounder for all fishing styles

Visit CHIRP+ 4 works without cell phone or internet connection : the Wi-Fi connects the sounder directly to your smartphone up to 120 m range which can be extended to 200m with the range amplifier kit optional. The lithium battery-polymer ensures up to 15 hours of autonomy (GPS deactivated) or 9 hours with GPS active, for long sessions without recharging. Recharging is via USB-C in 110 minutes.
