This R5 VHF from Mc Murdo is extremely rugged, thanks to its ultra-resistant shockproof case, and 100% suitable for harsh marine environments.

VHF R5 GMDSS

This vhf is designed to meet stringent IMO, SMDSS and ETSI standards. It features 23 SMDSS channels. Its ribbed surface makes it easy to hold, even in wet conditions.

Its large keys and keypad lock prevent unwanted manipulation, even when using the radio with gloves on.

What's more, the vhf R5 features the following functions:

  • Dual or triple standby mode
  • Battery level indicator
  • Display brightness adjustment
  • Waterproof to 50m for 30 minutes
