BroadBand CHIRP R109LH probe (low and high frequencies) 38-75/130-210kHz - Depth/temperature
Traditional marine sounders operate at fixed frequencies such as 50 kHz and 200 kHz, using short pulses at fixed frequencies.
In contrast, CHIRP (compressed high-intensity radar pulse) uses a precise scanning pattern of many frequencies within a long broadband pulse duration, so that the equivalent sound energy transmitted into the water is 10 to 1000 times greater than a conventional sounder.
The echo returned to the probe is superior to that of a conventional probe.
The combination of a broadband CHIRP probe and a BroadBand sounder delivers spectacular results rich in detail and accuracy, with superior depth capability and a significant improvement in high-speed performance.
