FURUNO - AIS ATB1 - SEE AND BE SEEN FOR YOUR SAFETY
The ATB1 transponder receives and interprets AIS messages from other AIS-equipped vessels in the vicinity. This data can be shared with navigation instruments, such as plotters, PCs or tablets, via the NMEA0183/2000, USB or Wifi ports it is equipped with.
AIS ATB1It transmits AIS messages every 5 seconds, at the rate of twice a minute, and the power of 5W, rather than 2W, allows a greater transmission range. All information, such as ship name, radio call sign and MMSI number, is transmitted automatically by the ATB1. The AIS records all data using the Ocean Signal mobile application, or via the website. Data is saved even when the AIS is switched off. An LED light indicates ATB1 operation. So you always know if your AIS transmission is working properly. |
