V3100 AIS SOTDMA Class B with GPS-500 antenna

Increased transmission frequency and reliability
The V3100 Class B AIS solution incorporates the SOTDMA technology found in Class A solutions. This self-organizing transmission technology enables the system to benefit from a more regular transmission frequency with other AIS devices in the same area. This means more frequent, reliable position updates in high-traffic areas. The V3100 transmits updates at a frequency of up to once every five seconds, depending on boat speed. As a result, users benefit from a reporting frequency six times higher than that of the standard Class B AIS solution.

Increased transmission range
The V3100 has a maximum transmission power of 5 watts, i.e. 2.5 times higher than standard Class B AIS solutions. This enables V3100-equipped boats to be detected by other AIS devices at greater distances, and provides more reliable transmissions to AIS satellite receivers.

Integrated "black box" solution
This "black box" AIS solution is designed to work with Simrad / B&G multifunction displays and other marine electronic devices connected to NMEA 2000® or NMEA 0183®. A standard PC output is also available via the USB port. The V3100 is housed in a compact, waterproof IP67 enclosure. It incorporates an SD card slot for autonomous AIS data recording.
