The filter (around the pump) is designed for less frequent clogging, easier emptying and easier cleaning. A clapper is integrated into the outlet connection to minimize recirculation through the pump and reduce odors caused by standing water. The housing features a ventilation duct to prevent air pockets and allow inflow. Finally, a watertight seal in the lid prevents spills.
