Claw/roller chain stoppers are designed for use with the Lewmar V8-V12 windlass range
Claws hold the weight of the anchor and deployed chain to take the strain off the windlass
The claw chain stopper is used to tension the anchor when the anchor is hauled up to prevent movement during sailing
As required by classification bodies, the breaking load of this equipment is calculated at 80% of the breaking load of the chain
The claws and integrated stop block are made of high-strength 17-4PH stainless steel, and the other parts of 316 stainless steel
Chain operating height is defined by windlass size. For example, a V8 stopper can be used with a V9 windlass if the stopper is mounted on a bracket to achieve the correct height
