RA110
Description

The 110A series is a two-piece aluminum water-separating fuel filter with cartridge filter element designed for diesel and gasoline engines with high-pressure injection systems. It can be installed on the vacuum or pressure side of the fuel pump (up to 6.9 bar (100 psi)) with a maximum flow rate of 57 L/min (15 gal/h) for diesel and 132 L/min (35 gal/h) for gasoline.

The compact dimensions and four-port versatility of the 110A series make it a popular water separator filter for low-power engines. The filter features 1/4˝- 18 NPTF (SAE J467) fuel inlet and outlet ports and a unit-mounting bracket. Its two-piece, powder-coated cast aluminum construction extends its service life and guarantees reliable operation, whatever the working environment.

The filter combination is serviced by unscrewing the lower bowl from the mounting head. The collected water is drained from a ½"-20 UNF bolt. Inlet and outlet ports are available on both sides of the unit. Fuel enters through the inlets and passes through the cartridge filter assembly. All collected water falls back through the center of the element while fuel exits through the filter to the outlet.

Advantages :

  • Elimination of water entering the system through condensation in the fuel tank. Any water present in the fuel system contributes to bacterial proliferation, which can clog filters and lead to the formation of corrosive acids. Corrosion and rust then reach vulnerable components, leading to erosion and wear of crucial fuel system components.
  • Removal of solid particles released into the air during refuelling, e.g. sand and silica particles.
  • Removal of soft impurities, generated by overheated and degraded diesel, which coat filters with a black, asphalt-like substance, leading to loss of power and engine stoppage.
  • Prevent costly injector damage and extend the useful life of downstream filters.
  • Save time and money by eliminating unscheduled maintenance and unscheduled downtime due to system component failure.
  • Maintenance made easy by spin-on bowl assembly and simple cartridge replacement procedure.
