Remember to always use your boat's full-load displacement when selecting a pilot. In general, a fully equipped yacht with full water and fuel tanks can exceed its designed displacement by 20%. If your boat falls between two pilot types, choose the larger pilot type: an undervalued pilot may not be able to operate properly when you need it most.
