The Simrad PUMP-1 is installed on outboard-boats equipped with hydraulic steering. When paired with the NAC-1 control unit, it activates the cylinder to adjust the engine’s angle based on the autopilot ’s corrections. It is compatible with balanced cylinders ranging from 100 to 180 CC and boats up to 10 meters in length.

A REVERSIBLE PUMP FOR HYDRAULIC STEERING

The PUMP-1 is installed in the hydraulic steering circuit. Each time a correction is requested by the autopilot, it circulates oil to the cylinder to steer the engine to port or starboard.

Since it operates in both directions, the pump can adjust the heading as the vessel navigates. The boat thus follows the programmed course without the need for constant corrections at the helm.
