VX2 windlasses feature worm gear motor technology combining metal and composite. They also feature a mixed stainless steel chain-and-rope sprocket which is 15% lighter and more resistant than other sprockets.
They also feature a helical-wheel gearbox for extra strength.

They also feature a pre-installed chain counter and manual clutch. The IP67-rated gearmotor withstands marine conditions, and the relay is directly integrated. What's more, installation of the windlass is facilitated by the motor 's flexible orientation.
