NASA - NAVTEX PC - MESSAGE AND WEATHER RECEIVER
The Navtex for PC from Nasa Marine is an international system for broadcasting maritime safety information under the GMDSS (Global Maritime Distress and Safety System). Reception is by radio on the dual-frequency Navtex, on 490kHz (in the language of the country near which you are sailing) and 518 kHz (in English only).

NAVTEX PC RECEIVERThis device is equipped with a zone selection system that allows you to choose a zone to receive safety bulletins only for that zone, and thus avoid being polluted by safety messages that don't concern your navigation zone . In addition, a green LED indicates message reception. Navtex receives all messages even when the computer is switched off. What's more, the device stores messages, which can be easily consulted using the software supplied. The device comes complete with software, dual-frequency antenna and cable. |
