The Lewmar Ocean 50 self-tailing winch electrification kit converts a standard Ocean 50 self-tailing winch into an electric winch.
It offers two speeds for manual control, plus one speed in electric mode. Manual control remains a possible recourse for rescue purposes, or to rediscover traditional sailing sensations.

Lewmar - Electrification kit for Ocean winch - 50 ST
Suitable for deck and mast winch models Lewmar Ocean 50ST (produced between 1992 and 2010).
The ELS series relay is equipped with an overload control. This allows the winch to be used to its maximum capacity, i.e. the equivalent of its working load. What's more, when this load is reached, the winch stops by itself. The ELS box is also fitted with a thermal circuit breaker to ensure that the motor cuts out in the event of overheating.
Once the kit has been installed, the Lewmar 50 Ocean winch also functions as a manual self-tailing winch.
