AN INFINITE REFRIGERATION CYCLE The Compact Classic 2001 refrigeration unit is specifically designed to be powered by ambient air. Here's how the system works A fan draws in ambient air through grilles on the compressor The air passes through a heat exchanger and cools the gaseous refrigerant in the compressor, which is then compressed The refrigerant circulates through a condenser, releasing its heat into the ambient air . This condenses the refrigerant into a high-pressure liquid The refrigerant passes through an expansion valve where its pressure drops, cooling its temperature. It then becomes a very cold, low-pressure mixture of liquid and gas This mixture circulates through the evaporator , which absorbs heat from the compartment, cooling the space. By absorbing the heat, the refrigerant evaporates and becomes a low-pressure gas once again The cycle starts again when the compressor draws in the gaseous refrigerant
