	The heart of the system: SmartShunt At the heart of the system, Victron Energy 's SmartShunt plays a crucial role in measuring battery voltage and current . Thanks to these measurements, it performs an intelligent assessment of the battery's state of charge, while estimating the time remaining before the charge is completely discharged. It also monitors historical data, such as deepest discharge, average discharge current and number of charge/discharge cycles . What's more, SmartShunt offers the option of monitoring the voltage of a second battery, usually dedicated to engine starting.

VeKonvert NMEA2000 interface The Digital Yacht BM100 battery monitoring system incorporates an NMEA2000 veKonvert interface, enabling your multifunction display to show all essential battery status parameters. Modern multifunction displays from leading manufacturers such as Garmin, Raymarine, Furuno and Navico display battery data thanks to their NMEA2000 compatibility. In addition, alerts and alarms can be programmed to signal low capacity or insufficient voltage. The BM100 Digital Yacht controller is also equipped with a Bluetooth connection for connection to a smartphone or tablet. This enables the display of current, voltage and capacity, as well as additional historical data. In addition, it provides detailed information on state of charge and time remaining based on battery capacity.

	Collaboration with Victron Energy The BM100 battery controller is the result of collaboration between Digital Yacht and Victron Energy. The system takes advantage of Victron's exclusive VE.Direct connectivity as a data source for the NMEA2000 protocol. The BM100 is part of an extended series of products launched by Digital Yacht. These products facilitate the integration of NMEA2000 connectivity with Victron systems using the NMEA2000 interface VE.Direct. Victron solar panel controllers (MPPT) and battery controllers can also link to the NMEA 2000 network via the veKonvert interface. The BM100 can also synchronize with other NMEA2000 instruments and wireless solutions from Digital Yacht.
