The EchoMap UHD2 72sv features the traditional CHIRP echo sounder: one of the most innovative technologies on the market. This provides ideal detection at depths of up to 240m (manufacturer's data), thanks to its high-frequency CHIRP coverage over a wider than usual beam.

This function makes it possible to locate fishing areas more quickly, thanks to an extremely wide 180° scanning field.

WIFI AND ECHOMAP UHD2 CONNECTIVITY

Visit Garmin ECHOMAP UHD2 enables wifi connection of a smartphone to use the Active Captain applicationiOS andAndroidBut above all connecting 2 ECHOMAP UHD2 echo sounders to each other to share the sounder view and user data.

With this system, you can, for example, have your 1st sounder cabled to your stern transducer, while a second sounder located forward receives the sounder view of the 1st wireless via wifi allowing you to fish from all sides of the boat, while always keeping an eye on one of the screens.

The 2nd useful feature of wireless is the ability to share certain sounder settings, in addition to screen copy. Here's what you need to know: sensitivity, range and interference filter.

This means you can fine-tune these sounder settings on either screen. For other settings, however, you'll need to use your main screen.

The wifi connection also lets you share updates. So you can put an SD update card in your first sounder, launch the update and then, once it's complete, re-launch it for the 2nd sounder via wifi, without moving the SD card from one to the other.
