The Side-Power SH550 thruster lets you apply only the power you need to complete your maneuver. Variable speed control eliminates the noise associated with standard on/off thrusters. With a dual configuration (forward and reverse), you also benefit from a convenient hold function that lets you set and leave the thrust level.

S-Link system

S-Link is a CAN-based control system used for communication between Sleipner products installed on a vessel.

• Compact, waterproof connectors
• Color-coded, keyed connectors for easy, correct installation.
• Different cable lengths, extensions and T-connectors make the system scalable and flexible to install.

IPC control system (Intelligent Power Control)

• Improves thruster reliability and safety. If the relay is blocked during operation, the thruster is automatically stopped.

Gravity lubrication

• The thruster is supplied with oil from a separate tank located above the waterline. This generates excess pressure, ensuring an effective seal against water intrusion, while allowing easy access for oil changes.

Twin propellers

• Twin propellers can deliver more thrust than a single-propeller system in the same tunnel diameter. Sleipner uses this system in mid-range models, where high thrust is required in small-diameter tunnels. Because of their compact design and high performance, twin models have become the thrusters of choice for boat builders worldwide.

Flexible installation

• Sleipner offers installation flexibility to work with the space you have. Our thruster models can be installed at any angle on the tunnel, to suit the space available on your vessel.
