The SLR 196 inflatable lifejacket with Hammar hydrostatic release system is approved for category 150N and offers a unique design accompanied by top-of-the-range materials.

Designed by the Plastimo Research and Development team in collaboration with skippers François Gabart and Kévin Escoffier, it is the perfect response to the needs of offshore sailing.


	LIGHTWEIGHT, HIGH-PERFORMANCE LIFEJACKET The SLR 196 lifejacket combines cutting-edge technology and ergonomic design for an unrivalled experience in safety and comfort. Featuring exclusive dual-chamber technology, the optimized bladder with ergonomically enhanced collar ensures exceptional buoyancy, improving rollover efficiency and freeboard. Safety is also a priority, with the integrated release handle and high-strength harness featuring a reliable textile buckle. For a customized fit, the vest features a quick-drain to adjust pressure and deflate as needed, as well as an intuitive belt with invisible webbing and 6 presets. The design combines high-tech materials and carbon-effect fabric, while lightness and ergonomics are accentuated by the ultra-adaptive flexibility of the vest, which follows the shape of the shoulders. The aluminum quick-release buckle and neoprene collar complete the perfect combination of style, safety and comfort.

HYDROSTATIC RELEASE SYSTEM Hammar's hydrostatic release system works with water pressure. When the pressure rises (above 10 cm of water), the membrane lets the water through and the vest inflates immediately. The advantage is that this system won't be triggered by the first splash. As with automatic activation, the system is also subject to an expiration date, after which it must be replaced.
