The Rutland HRDi charge controller for wind turbines or solar panels is ideal for managing 1 or 2 battery banks on board.
It slows down the wind turbine when the batteries are full, and restarts charging when necessary, reducing wear and tear. Its LCD display makes daily monitoring easy, and it adapts automatically to 12 V or 24 V.

RUTLAND - HRDi charge controller
The HRDi is a charge controller designed to control a compatible wind turbine and, in addition, a solar array. Its role is simple: to protect your batteries, optimize charging and prevent the wind turbine from running away when the park is already at full capacity.
On board, it's a reassuring solution for powering a service park and, if necessary, a separate engine battery. The LCD display keeps track of the charge and energy produced, with a Charge - Stop switch to put the system in a safe state when servicing.

Ideal for two battery banksThe HRDi is designed for installations with two independent batteries, typical of yachting: an engine battery and a service battery. It can prioritize the lower battery and distribute the available energy without complicated handling.
This management logic avoids letting one battery run down while the other remains full, especially at anchor with variable consumption. |
A box for wind and solar powerThe HRDi accepts the input from your compatible Rutland wind turbine and a solar panel input, so you can combine sources when the weather changes. Practical for cruising: wind at night, sun during the day, and a more regular charge as the hours go by.
