Hydraulic thrusters use pressurized hydraulic oil, with a hydraulic motor driving a propeller. A hydraulic thruster must be connected to a power source such as a marine battery. A hydraulic thruster will require the addition of a hydraulic pump to operate. Hydraulic thrusters are best suited to pleasure craft or professional vessels
