Sikaflex-295 UV, single-component, pasty mastic.

Sikaflex 295 UV mastic adhesive has been specially developed for use in the shipbuilding industry. Thanks to its excellent weather resistance, Sikaflex 295 UV can be used for interior and exterior exposed joints. Suitable substrates include aluminum (bare/anodized), GRP (polyester resin), stainless steel, wood, two-component coatings and organic glazing (PC, PMMA).

Consult the manufacturer's recommendations before using Sikaflex 295 UV on materials susceptible to stress cracking. This product is only suitable for experienced users. To ensure adhesion and material compatibility, preliminary tests should be carried out with the original materials under appropriate conditions.

Recommendations:

• Sikaflex295 UV should be applied at temperatures between +10°C and +35°C.
• Optimum application temperature: +15°C to +25°C.
• Sikaflex 295 UV can be applied using any single-component application system: manual or pneumatic guns.
• To ensure uniform adhesive thickness during assembly, we recommend applying Sikaflex295 UV in triangular beads.
• Bonding transparent plastics (organic glazing) requires a special joint configuration, taking into account the specific properties of these materials.
• Joints must be smoothed before the product has formed its skin.
• Once hardened, the product can only be removed mechanically.
• Hands and skin must be cleaned immediately with a suitable soap. Do not use solvents!
