Solvent-free silicone sealant.

This silicone sealant is suitable for making flexible joints on a wide variety of substrates such as glass (mineral and organic), metals, wood and ceramics. Sikasil-P Marine is a high-performance sealant that resists UV rays and mildew, hence its fungicidal properties. It polymerizes under the action of atmospheric humidity. As the temperature drops, the amount of water in the air decreases, resulting in a slower curing reaction.

Recommendations:

• Surfaces must be clean, sound, free of grease and loose parts.
• Sikasil-P Marine is not recommended for porous substrates such as concrete, stone, marble and granite.
• Do not use Sikasil-P Marine on bituminous, natural rubber, chloroprene or EPDM-based substrates, or on materials that may contain oils, plasticizers or solvents.
• Sikasil-P Marine is not recommended for use on joints that are submerged, under stress or subject to abrasion.
• Protect the joint from water for at least two hours after application.
