The Pilot 165 XXL lifejacket from Plastimo offers effective buoyancy of 165 Newton and is approved to category 150N, which will ensure the rollover of an unconscious person.

It features a new, more ergonomic design with a light, supple fabric cover for maximum range of movement. The cut has been slimmed down to provide more space for your arms. The structure has been optimized so that it rests on your shoulders rather than your neck, for greater comfort.

The inner tube is always well protected, and the new double-opening YKK zipper facilitates maintenance operations such as reconditioning. This vest will adjust perfectly to your body shape thanks to one of its adjustable side straps.

In this harness configuration, the Pilot 165 lifejacket closes and adjusts with a textile buckle that replaces the classic stainless steel buckle . Lighter and more ergonomic horizontally (the buckle no longer bumps unexpectedly on board), it incorporates a retroreflective thread sewn into the center of the buckle, making it easier to spot at night. This stiffer buckle also makes it easier to hit the carabiner (for an optional lanyard, sold separately).

Here, the vest is available in a single color, red in size XXL, with a belt designed for a larger waist circumference of 60 to 175 cm. Versions of the Pilot 165 XXL lifejacket are also available in smaller sizes, with or without harness.

The Plastimo Pilot 165 XXL lifejacket comes with a single release system : automatic. Once triggered, the lifejacket deploys a fluorescent yellow inner tube with self-reflecting strips, making it easier to locate the person who has fallen overboard.

AUTOMATIC RELEASE SYSTEM The automatic activation system (or cellulose pellet system) uses a cartridge with a soluble element that is resistant to humidity and sea spray. As a result, the vest will only activate after immersion in water. On contact with water, the pellet disintegrates (salt or cellulose). It releases a powerful spring which activates a striker that strikes the carbon dioxide cylinder. The kit has an expiration date beyond which it must be replaced. However, there is a risk of unintentional activation (by a large wave, for example). All inflatable vests can be triggered manually.
