The Plastimo neoprene survival suit is safety equipment for professionals. Whether you're a fisherman, a sailor on a merchant ship, a professional racer, a lifeguard or oil rig or offshore personnel, this suit will ensure your survival in cold waters.

The suit can be worn directly over your clothing, saving precious seconds in an emergency situation such as an evacuation or shipwreck. It's also an excellent complement to a life raft.

A person's chances of survival in cold water diminish drastically if they can't keep their body temperature at an optimal level for as long as possible. That's why Plastimo has created an immersion suit that dramatically increases the chances of survival in the event of hypothermia.

The suit's buoyancy and watertightness are ensured by its 5mm-thick , CR-reinforced neoprene design. It's also flame-retardant , as this neoprene has excellent resistance to fire (and hydrocarbons).

The Plastimo neoprene wetsuit acts as a lifejacket, with a buoyancy rating of 150N . This 150 Newtons certification is designed for offshore sailing, and guarantees a turn-over on the back in less than 5 seconds . It also ensures that the wearer's head stays on its side or back, even when unconscious.

Finally, the Plastimo neoprene survival suit is fully insulated and SOLAS-approved. This means it will prevent the wearer's body temperature from dropping by a maximum of 2°C in water between 0°C and 2°C, for up to 6 hours!

Equipped to save your life

SOLAS approval and the 150N buoyancy standard mean that this Plastimo immersion suit considerably increases your chances of survival in cold water.

There are also a number of features that will enhance your survival and rescue chances:

150N buoyancy : cushion on back of collar to support head
Locating : whistle, reflective tape on head, torso, arms and legs
Man-overboard recovery : lifeline, rescue handle and lifting harness
Waterproofing : 5 mm neoprene, waterproof zipper, 3-finger gloves and non-slip rubber soles

All these safety features have been designed to provide better protection against the cold and make it easier to spot, without impeding the wearer's movements.
