DIGITAL YACHT - CO ALERT - CARBON MONOXIDE DETECTOR FOR BOATS

This invisible, tasteless gas results from partial combustion in a variety of equipment such as engines, stoves, heating systems, boat motors and electrical generators, and poses a serious threat to safety on board.

Given the dangerous nature of carbon monoxide, it is essential to equip every boat with a specific alarm. Of course, a standard home alarm can be fitted, but its suitability for use at sea is limited. Home alarms often rely on an internal battery that dischargeswhen left inactive for long periods: it's easy to forget to replace it when used seasonally on a vessel.

What's more, a simple alarm positioned in a cabin where a crew member is sleeping while the boat is in motion, accompanied by the noise of the engine, is likely to lose its effectiveness.

On-board CO detector

The CO Alert designed by Digital Yacht is specifically adapted to demanding conditions at sea. It features NMEA2000 integration, enabling warnings to be displayed on the vessel's compatible multifunction display. The interface connects to the NMEA2000 bus for minimal power consumption .

It offers options for multiple cabins/detectors, and detects both low and high concentrations of carbon monoxide over long periods thanks to a sophisticated internal algorithm, ensuring complete protection.

The detector, meanwhile, requires a 12V or 24V DC electrical connection and will produce a powerful audible alarm if it detects the presence of carbon monoxide.

This system can be combined with the NavAlert device for alerting and monitoring with Xtream 4G or Xtream 5G Internet access systems. This combination enables SMS messages to be sent to signal a CO alert, facilitating remote monitoring via a telephone.
