The geared motor is designed to fit the VX2 12V windlass deck unit. It consists of an electric motor and a speed reducer and is positioned below deck in the anchor locker(see photo)
It is supplied with a 12V relay for remote operation of the motor and windlass.

LEWMAR - VX2 12V WINDLASS GEARED MOTOR + RELAY
The IP67 gearmotor is designed for use inmarine conditions . The IP rating (Index of Protection ) is an international standard which means that it is totally dustproof with number "6 " and waterproof with number "7 ", but not against prolonged immersion , nor will it require maintenance due to its resistance to these elements.
It also features a solid composite casing and a waterproof grommet included in the pack.
The pack also includes a 12V relay to transmit the power required to raise or lower the anchor. The box receives the signal from the windlass controls , which can be buttons , switches or even remote controls . This enables the motor to be operated without the risk of overheating or short-circuiting the mechanism.
The relay consists of remote switches , which are electromagnetic switches enclosed in a special, abrasion-resistant casing .
The geared motor is available in three different versions:
- 68120031 : geared motor + relay for VX2 12V windlass
- 68120034 : geared motor + relay for windlass VX2+ 12V
- 68120035 : geared motor + relay for windlass VX3 12V
