Deck-mounted brake - V8

As the name implies, the deck-mounted brake is installed so as to cross the deck. It can therefore be located separately from the windlass .

This system transmits the braking force from the wheel to the windlass, and locks the chain when the anchor is dropped.

This type of brake is particularly suited to considerations with limited deck space.

It can be used on all V8 deck units fitted with a remote brake: V8 deck units and high-power V8 deck units.
